Exporting your notes

Available on desktop. There’s no export on iOS/iPad.

1. Open the search palette (the spark button in the bottom-left corner, or Cmd/Ctrl-P).
2. Click the export icon, Export as text files, in the row along the bottom.
3. Pick a folder.

Mimir writes every page as a plain .md file into a new, timestamped folder — journal entries at the top level, every other page inside a pages folder. Every page is included, even empty ones.

Text you masked with tildes (~like this~) is written out unmasked. This export is a private backup, not something meant to leave your device.
